Member of “1% for the Planet.” Members of this environmental organization promise to donate at least 1% of their annual business revenue to recognized organizations actively engaged in improving our natural environment. “1%” audits member financial records to confirm that members fulfill their promises. 1% for the Planet was founded by Yvon Choinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Matthews, owner of Blue Ribbon Files, in 2001. Their mission is “…to build and support an alliance of businesses financially committed to creating a healthy planet.”
2. Supporter, “Interface Children & Family Services.” One of the important services of Interface is that they maintain women’s shelters in Ventura County for women in crises.
